Our History | The innovations of Natare date back to the 1960's

Natare’s history dates back to the 1960s, when amateur and university swimming programs in Indiana produced some of the most outstanding competitive swimmers and teams in the nation. Around the same time, the first leisure pools and water parks were beginning to appear, including the very first wave pool, forever changing the concept of swimming, aquatic recreation and water features.

Setting the standard

Since 1969, Natare has been the leader in designing, manufacturing and supplying top-quality systems for the successful construction and operation of aquatic facilities throughout the world. When the first truly international natatorium facilities appeared in the 1970s and 1980s, Natare concepts, equipment and systems set the standard for swimming pool and aquatic facility construction.

Today, Natare pools, products and systems are used to build international competition venues, educational and institutional pools, health, fitness and medical rehabilitation facilities, and exciting leisure and recreational pools. Natare provides the essential components for aquatic systems of all sizes, shapes and configurations.

With more than 30 years of experience with swimming pools and aquatic facilities, Natare has unsurpassed knowledge of design requirements, construction techniques, and equipment capabilities. This knowledge allows Natare to provide comprehensive assistance on a project-by-project basis for new pool construction, renovation and facility operation.
